Weather and clothes
Describe 热/冷/下雨 and pick 衣服 without turning the forecast into a grammar lecture.

The daily weather question
今天天气怎么样？ is the social opener, not a meteorology exam.
Short answers: 很好, 下雨, 太热了, 有点儿冷. 了 on 太…了 is the same flavor you met with 太贵了.
下雨 is a verb-object: it rains. 下雨了 means it has started / it’s raining now.
How’s the weather today?
It’s raining today.
It’s cold outside.
What to wear
穿 for clothes you put on the body (jacket, pants). 戴 for hats, glasses, accessories — learn 穿 first.
今天穿什么？ You can answer 穿外套 or 我穿这件.
件 is the common measure for upper-body garments. 一条 for pants comes later if you need it this week.
Wear a jacket today.
How much is this piece of clothing?
I didn’t bring an umbrella.
Suggestion, not forecast worship
下雨了，我们坐地铁吧。 Weather plus 吧 is a plan, not small talk forever.
The weather deck and this lesson should share 热/冷/雨 so you are not learning two climates.
If someone answers 还行, that is “decent / alright,” not a new tense.
