Pattern
喜欢 and 觉得
Say what you like and give a short opinion without inserting 是.
喜欢 takes a thing or an activity
我喜欢茶。我喜欢看书。 The liked item comes after the verb. English “I am like tea” is not the model — skip 是.
Negate with 不喜欢. Degree: 很喜欢, 不太喜欢.
你喜欢…吗? keeps 吗 at the end. Do not invert.
觉得 introduces a take
我觉得这儿很好. After 觉得 you need a clause, not only a noun.
你觉得呢? hands the question back. Short and useful.
觉得 is not 想. 想 leans toward want / intend / miss.
People vs things
喜欢 a person is possible. In class, prefer food, hobbies, and classes unless you mean it.
我们都喜欢这个老师 is a safe people example.
If you need “I think that…,” start the clause immediately after 觉得.
Common mistakes
Do not say 我是喜欢… as a default.
Do not negate 喜欢 with 没 unless you are in a specialized “have never liked” story — beginners use 不.
Do not put 觉得 after the adjective: 很好我觉得 is English leftover order.
Examples
I like drinking tea.
He doesn’t like spicy food.
Do you like this movie?
I think it’s nice here.
What do you think?
I think it’s a bit expensive.
She likes reading.
I don’t really like running.
Tips
- 喜欢 + object; 觉得 + clause.
- Negate 喜欢 with 不.
- 你觉得呢? is a complete follow-up.
- 想 and 喜欢 are different tools.
